Design electrical systems with AutoCAD at Nordmin Engineering Ltd. in Thunder Bay or Sudbury, supporting mining, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
As an Electrical Designer, you will develop practical deliverables with engineers, designers, drafters, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams. Your work includes layouts, routing, diagrams, schedules, models, and material lists. You will apply project requirements, equipment information, codes, standards, and verified site conditions. Experience with electrical installations, power distribution, cable systems, lighting, and grounding supports this work.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop electrical designs using engineering direction and project requirements
- Prepare equipment layouts, cable routing, lighting, and grounding information
- Coordinate diagrams, schedules, material lists, drawings, and models
- Use AutoCAD and applicable electrical design software
- Participate in reviews, field verification, and construction support
- Electrical engineering technician or technologist program graduate
- Working toward, eligible for, or holding
C.Tech. or C.E.T. - Electrical design experience appropriate to developing or practicing designers
- Ability to interpret engineering criteria and vendor documentation
- Strong spatial awareness, organization, communication, and attention to detail
