The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will lead and perform financial analysis, develop budgets and forecasts. This role incorporates a combination of financial reporting, business modeling, and analysis to develop efficient reviews and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders to ensure that corporate business objectives and financial results are met.
Position Functions:- Prepare accurate and timely financial reporting for the Company.
- Reconcile and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statements, forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, comparison to budget and extrapolation of financial performance.
- Compare financial target achievements to plan and provide insights to business performance.
- Review and analyze business proposals, business cases and other financial data to support investments, business growth.
- Provide recommendations and insights to Senior Executives for review.
- Oversee the development, enhancement, and delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the company’s financial planning framework.
- Review actual verses projection and communicate with operational business leaders to provide financial insight into performance and variance analysis
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting, champion continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
- Lead and mentor FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Promote strong collaboration between FP&A, accounting and various areas of the organization.
- Support the VP, Finance and Company Senior Executives with merger and acquisition analysis.
- Lead complex, high‑visibility projects and provide expert analysis and recommendations to support company‑wide initiatives.
- Perform additional strategic work as required.
Competencies:
- Experience in leading teams and developing people.
- Lead innovation, process development and technology enhancements to drive business performance through FP&A.
- University degree in Business/Accounting, supported by a professional accounting designation.
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A and financial leadership experience, including prior management of teams and ownership of enterprise‑level planning processes.
- Strong IFRS knowledge and experience.
- Strong preference for candidates who have worked in high‑growth environment, comfortable “roll up the sleeves”.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, PowerPoint, and ERP/accounting systems. Experience with Microsoft NAV is an asset.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, rapport and relationships at multiple levels of the organization

- Must be conscientious about integrity, social responsibility and respect and have a flexible, approachable personality with a hands‑on approach
