Purpose& Key accountabilities
The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for managing and reporting the ongoing Operational Risks within BMW Group Financial Services Canada.
- Monthly reporting and analysis of the Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Loss Data Collection (LDC).
- Coordinate with various departments to gather results for KRI reporting and understand and report why thresholds are not met.
- Conduct annual organizational risk assessment. Assess and report on the identified risk scenarios.
- Annual review of business processes and controls; facilitate control testings.
- Prepare and conduct quarterly Operational Risk Committee meetings.
- Follow up and report on action items from Operational Risk Committee meetings.
- Develop and maintain local Operational Risk guidelines.
- Work closely with the Regional and Group Operational Risk teams, Compliance and Legal to ensure minimum requirements are met.
- Coordinate and resolve internal audit findings with various departments.
- Annual business impact analysis (BIA) of SF2-CA time critical processes;
- Coordination of business continuity tests and exercises as described in the SF BCM Guidelines in conjunction with the NSC;
- Evaluate, assess and report BCM status to the management team
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance is required
- 3 years of relevant, professional finance experience
- Experience in Operational Risk or Compliance topics is beneficial
- Strong mathematical aptitude and proven analytical skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Self‑motivated, results‑driven and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment
The compensation range for this role is $73,100 - $90,600, with variations based on factors like experience, education and skills. Experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
