The Opportunity

Tux Mat is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial operations and provide strong, reliable financial insight to the leadership team. For a finance leader who enjoys building and partnering closely with leadership, this role offers meaningful scope, visibility, and the opportunity to help shape the company’s next phase.

What You’ll Be Accountable For Financial Leadership & Strategy
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and decision support to the CEO and COO
  • Partner with leadership on financial planning, hiring decisions, capital investments, and risk management
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insight to support fast, informed decision-making.
Reporting, Forecasting & Controls
  • Own end-to-end financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Lead a timely, accurate monthly close process with clear variance analysis
  • Ensure integrity of financial statements and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial governance as the business continues to scale
Operational & Manufacturing Finance
  • Deliver cost, margin, and working-capital analysis to support operational efficiency
  • Partner closely with operations and supply chain teams to support cost discipline and efficiency initiatives
  • Support cash-flow management and working-capital optimization in a growing operating environment
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team, including oversight of accounting and bookkeeping
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors, advisors, banks, and financial institutions
  • Establish finance as a proactive business partner, not a reporting bottleneck
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, or CMA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles
  • Proven ability to translate accounting and operational data into Power BI dashboards for leadership reporting
  • Strong familiarity with finance system data structures, connectors, and reporting automation
  • Strong background in operational and manufacturing finance; cost accounting experience preferred
  • Experience building, scaling or maturing finance functions in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments
  • Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills
  • Comfort operating in environments with evolving systems, processes, and priorities
