Position: Data Engineering Team Manager Role
Lead and innovate within Staples Canada's Data Engineering team as a Team Manager. This role emphasizes data architecture and customer-first solutions, fostering both team development and performance.
As a Team Manager, you will guide associates, mentor emerging talents, and ensure effective task delegation within an agile environment. You will play a critical role in managing resources, establishing data pipelines, and collaborating with technical leads. Your goal is to improve applications, enhancing the organization’s data capabilities while aligning with best practices in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and mentor associates through active engagement

• Manage application performance and resource allocation

• Recruit and onboard new team members as needed

• Provide input to technical solutions with cross-functional teams

• Enhance current applications for ongoing improvements
Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience

• 3+ years management experience in data engineering

• 6+ years in data architecture and pipeline design

• Strong leadership and strategic communication skills

• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services
