MPG comprises of two affiliated entities: the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries (MPGC) and Canadian Memorial Services (CMS). Together, they deliver comprehensive death care services with compassion and professionalism. MPGC owns and operates ten cemeteries and four crematoriums across the GTA, while CMS provides funeral services at nine locations, including funeral centres within MPGC cemeteries and standalone facilities known as The Simple Alternative.

We are looking for a Property Services Employee to join our team at Elgin Mills Cemetery.

• Follow clear and specific instructions provided by the management regarding the precise location of interments and entombments. Be attentive to any unique requirements, such as adjusting for ground conditions, respecting family requests, or accommodating special procedures.
• Heavy Equipment:
  Use any heavy equipment and any additional tools required for interment, entombment and maintenance, ensuring safe operation and careful handling of equipment to minimize risk of damage to the site or equipment.
• Disinterment:
  Safely carry out disinterment’s as directed, ensuring the preservation of the dignity of the process and compliance with legal or organizational requirements.
• Mausoleum Crypt Front Installation:
  Set and remove crypt fronts for inscription according to specific work order instructions. Pay attention to detail to ensure that all materials are securely and correctly positioned.
• Emblem and Photoceramics Attachment:
  Carefully attach emblems, plaques, and photoceramics to memorials following detailed work orders. Ensure emblems are aligned properly, securely fastened, and display the correct information as requested by clients or the cemetery’s records.

• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including lawn mowers, tractors, leaf blowers, and snow blowers, to uphold the cemetery’s appearance. Ensure walkways, flowerbeds, and memorial areas remain clean, accessible, and well-maintained.
