Here’s What You Will Do
  • Perform and/or verify various quality tests during the development and prototyping phase
  • Document quality methods and communicate them to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate various activities related to product launch at the quality level
  • Plan activities and write Measurement System Performance reports
  • Perform production results analyses, e.g., Process Statistics
  • Coordinate the problem‑solving process related to customer complaints or requests for corrective action internally or with suppliers
  • Define and implement process and technological changes
  • Support design and drafting of foundry tooling layouts with a focus on manufacturability
  • Act as a resource person and support your team and Production in the use of quality tools, problem‑solving techniques, and statistical tools
  • Support estimation of new parts and costing updates for existing parts
  • Provide engineering oversight and technical direction to the foundry tooling shop
  • Identify process risks and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Lead and support in‑house welding operations for casting repair
Here’s what we’re looking for and what you will need to succeed
  • Post‑secondary education in Engineering (Metallurgical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar), or considerable working experience in a similar role
  • 2 or more years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in a manufacturing setting
  • Hands‑on experience in non‑ferrous foundry or similar setting is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of foundry methods, including gating, risering, and solidification principles is an asset
  • Experience with tooling design, foundry layouts, and manufacturing constraints
  • Exposure/experience with customer‑facing interactions such as technical reviews and new product launch support
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment while maintaining high quality of work and a positive attitude
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Highly computer proficient:
    Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook. QMS, ERP experience
  • Experience using quality tools and instruments
  • Highly organized, accountable, motivated and driven
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative, proactive attitude
