Position: Nurse Practitioner for Surgical Pain Care
Mackenzie Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to focus on surgical pain care, providing expert support in a comprehensive, patient-centered environment. This role combines advanced nursing practice with interprofessional collaboration.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will specialize in acute pain management for surgical patients, working directly with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective pain relief and patient education. Your expertise will support pivotal transitions from hospital to home care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop pain management plans in collaboration with Anesthesiology

• Educate patients and families during discharge processes

• Collaborate with external pain management resources

• Lead initiatives in quality improvement and interprofessional education

• Engage in healthcare policy formulation and professional development

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required

• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience

• Active Extended Class RN registration in Ontario

• Preference for membership in the Nurse Practitioner Association

• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support necessary
