Surgical Registered Nurse at Schroeder Centre

Enhance patient care as a Surgical Registered Nurse at Schroeder Ambulatory Centre. This role involves comprehensive pre, intra, and post-operative care for surgical patients in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Surgical Day Care and Procedures, you will provide essential clinical support during minor surgeries, such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies. Your expertise in nursing will ensure safety and effective care coordination throughout all surgical phases. We are looking for a dedicated nurse to assist in improving patient access and quality of life in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-op, intra-op, and post-op patient care

• Coordinate care planning with multidisciplinary team members

• Utilize computer systems for accurate documentation

• Manage workloads effectively in a dynamic environment

• Participate in hospital committees or project teams

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse licensed in Ontario

• Minimum 2 years recent surgical experience

• Proficient in IV therapy and documentation

• Valid BCLS and ACLS certification

• Strong clinical assessment and educational skills
