Registered Practical Nurse in Surgery and Procedures

As a vital part of our surgical care team, you will report to the Manager and provide essential clinical support throughout the surgical process. You will be responsible for monitoring patients’ conditions and ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention. Your endoscopic experience will significantly contribute to our mission of enhancing patient quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive pre and post-operative care

• Support surgical teams during endoscopic procedures

• Record and monitor patient conditions effectively

• Facilitate patient education and communication

• Engage in departmental projects and committee activities

Requirements:

• RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Previous experience in an endoscopy or surgical setting (2-3 years)

• BCLS certification required upon hiring

• Competency in IV insertion considered an asset

• Strong assessment and crisis response skills
