On-site Registered Nurse, Surgical Care

Become a key member of the Schroeder Ambulatory Centre as an On-site Registered Nurse specializing in Surgical Care & Procedures.

Your role encompasses all aspects of patient care within a surgical environment.

In this part-time position, you will report to the Manager of Surgical Day Care and Procedures. You’ll provide high-quality nursing care throughout all stages of surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and effective communication. Candidates should have proven experience in surgical nursing and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care through all surgical stages

• Assist in care coordination among medical staff

• Document care accurately utilizing computerized systems

• Manage a varying patient workload effectively

• Participate in relevant hospital committees or teams

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Registered Nurse license

• Minimum of 2 years in surgical nursing

• Mandatory BCLS & ACLS credentials

• Outstanding clinical assessment and care planning skills

• Up-to-date immunization records required
