Become a leader in long-term care with Extendicare as an Assistant Director of Care. Oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance, and promote exceptional resident-centered service.
The Assistant Director of Care works under the Director of Care, managing assigned areas in a long-term care setting. You will provide leadership in clinical oversight and advocate for resident safety and quality improvement. This role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, enhancing resident satisfaction, and adhering to high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned program areas according to Extendicare’s care model
• Identify and implement risk mitigation strategies
• Monitor compliance with regulations and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with care staff, residents, and families to enhance service
• Lead quality improvement initiatives to meet care goals
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Registered Nurse in long-term care
• Current and unrestricted RN registration with provincial body
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
Lead quality care and enhance resident experience at Extendicare as the Assistant Director of Care.
