Part Time Registered Practical Nurse

Provide person-centred nursing care as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, following provincial standards of care. Coordinate resident care, medications, and clinical documentation.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed care. You will collaborate with nursing, interdisciplinary, and contracted service teams while supporting residents and families. The work includes assessments, care plans, treatments, education, and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
Complete accurate assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
Evaluate care plans and communicate required changes
Coordinate resident assignments for timely nursing service delivery
Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies
Requirements:
Registered Practical Nurse qualification
Practice according to provincial standards of care
Follow regulatory requirements and Extendicare policies
Ability to teach and direct unregulated care providers
Commitment to ethics, morality, integrity, and person-centred care
Bring nursing coordination, medication administration, and resident-focused care to Extendicare’s part-time Registered Practical Nurse position.
