Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are currently seeking a Senior QA Specialist TSYS (Mastercard), with in depth understanding of the end-to-end credit card lifecycle from customer acquisition to card issuance, use and authorization.
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and stability of the bank’s credit card platforms, with a primary focus on TSYS/TS2. This role leads testing activities across complex, multi‑team initiatives, validates system changes from internal and external partners, and safeguards production quality for all credit‑card–related products and services. The ideal candidate brings deep platform expertise, strong analytical skills, and a passion for building high‑quality financial systems.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the full QA lifecycle for complex, multi‑faceted projects involving multiple internal teams and external vendors, ensuring all releases meet defined quality standards.
Drive test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
Provide formal quality sign‑off for releases, ensuring readiness for production deployment.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the TS2 platform, applying extensive knowledge of TSYS capabilities to validate system behaviour and ensure alignment with credit card business requirements.
Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure business and system requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with business goals.
Create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases that reflect business rules, system logic, and integration points.
Execute test cycles, document results, and maintain clear, actionable defect reports.
Lead defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and prevention efforts to improve long‑term platform stability.
Review scheduled TSYS and Mastercard updates, assess potential impacts, and translate findings into actionable requirements.
Provide after‑hours support as needed to resolve urgent production issues and maintain service continuity.
Qualifications:
Strong Experience on TSYS TS2 and TSYS peripheral systems including DE and TCS.
Ability to understand and translate user requirements into technically sound stories
Solid knowledge of project life cycles and practices
Effective communication and leadership skills
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, and perform well in a fast paced and dynamic environment
This is a minimum 9 month contract hybrid role with likely 1 year extension located in downtown Toronto.
