Overview
Mackenzie Health's two hospitals – Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital – each have a full-service emergency department, core services and specialized services to provide you with the care you need. Our Woman and Child, Inpatient Mental Health and Inpatient Integrated Stroke programs are available to the community at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Continental Rotation – /
Payrate: $19.10/hour

- Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure the safety and security of the site
- Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities
- Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
- Act quickly in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats, and assist hospital staff as needed during crises and evacuations
- De‑escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and ensure that all interactions are handled calmly and professionally
- Document daily activities, incidents, or accidents accurately and complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns
- Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure the safety of all parties involved
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
- COVID‑19 vaccine – two doses
- Proof of up‑to‑date immunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and a two‑step Tuberculosis skin test
- Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing during training
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- English oral and written fluency
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Provision of certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
