Senior Engineer - Application Security Focus

Secure your future as a Senior Application Security Engineer s pivotal role emphasizes hands-on security assessments across a robust SaaS environment.
Reporting to the Manager of Platform Security, you will investigate application security risks while partnering with Dev Ops and engineering teams.

Your role includes performing secure code reviews and API security assessments to ensure robust defenses. Leverage your knowledge of modern SaaS architecture and coding practices to safeguard Paymentus' payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess application security vulnerabilities and recommend fixes

• Lead secure design reviews and threat modeling efforts

• Work with Dev Ops to implement security controls

• Validate vulnerabilities and guide remediation processes

• Mentor software engineers in secure coding practices
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience

• 6+ years in application security or related domains

• Proficient in Java, NodeJS, or Golang

• Experience with cloud environments, including Azure or AWS

• Knowledgeable in OWASP guidelines and application security
