The purpose of the Senior Machine Maintenance Engineer role is to provide leadership to the maintenance departments responsible for equipment, property, buildings, and facilities for a manufacturing plant or multiple manufacturing plants. The incumbent will manage, implement, and support best safety and environmental practices; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process or maintenance issues; maintain, repair, and update all production equipment systems and facilities;
manage and control maintenance costs; and oversee equipment performance.
- Manage a preventive/predictive maintenance system.
- Maintain an effective preventative maintenance schedule and control mechanical inventories. Encourage good work habits and promote safety.
- Support by working cross-functionally with internal support departments and occasionally with external manufacturing to drive project completion.
- Develop a strong understanding of the manufacturing process and details of the associated hands‑on operating requirements.
- Investigate and coordinate the resolution of deviations through comprehensive Root Cause Analysis tools.
- Collaborate with technical and operational stakeholders and write/revise SOPs, batch records, technical reports, and other operational documents.
- Generate training material and conduct training for manufacturing staff.
- Generate and manage metrics.
- Coordinate equipment downtime, MTTR, MTBF, 3R5S, improvement, and attendance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process or maintenance problems and develop action plans to improve reliability and uptime.
- Identify new technology for new/current assets and assist with identifying user requirements, procurement, and implementation as needed.
- Identify and implement maintenance, safety, and environmental practices.
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications Required Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
- Minimum five years of technical experience in engineering.
- Good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Good understanding of robotics, PLC, and VFDs.
- Some knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
- Some knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP for maintenance.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, passionate about problem-solving, and able to assemble a team of internal experts to provide solutions.
- Can deftly manage feedback from multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle while meeting deadlines.
- Is a true team player, able to take critiques positively and constructively, and always open to suggestions.
- Willing to go beyond the job description and jump in where needed.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
