As a full‑service veterinary clinic, we offer a wide range of services including advanced care, surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, and urgent‑care services. Your role will involve managing diverse caseloads from routine wellness to complex advanced care.

Role Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians in providing top‑quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prep patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assisting, and proactively set up for any procedures or diagnostic tests.
  • Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner.
  • Obtain accurate vitals, record medical histories, and note any changes in a patient’s condition.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples such as fecal, urine, and ear cytologies.
  • Care for and maintain all medical equipment, including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and other essential tools.
  • Communicate high‑quality client updates and answer questions.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekend and holiday shifts.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling.
  • Strong communication skills, good judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations while working respectfully with a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
