Associate Clinical Dental Director
OverviewLife Long Medical Care is looking for a highly motivated dentist to serve as the lead dental provider at our William Jenkins Dental Center. The candidate will work closely with the center manager to coordinate patient care, ensuring consistency with Life Long’s procedures and policies, and will help build collaborative teams to serve underserved populations.

We provide medical, dental, behavioral health and school‑based services at more than 15 primary‑care sites and run innovative programs for homeless and low‑income communities.
BenefitsCompensation: $168,000‑$172,000 per year plus medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, dependent and domestic partner coverage, 403(b) retirement plan, loan repayment programs and commuter benefits. Life Long qualifies for federal and state loan repayment programs (HPSA score is 23).
Responsibilities- Ensure patient care at assigned clinics aligns with Life Long’s policies and procedures.
- Assist dental providers when needed.
- Attend AMD and Center Director meetings.
- Communicate with AMDs and ADDs regarding patient care and policy.
- Contribute to projects and program implementation.
- Report to the Chief Dental Officer.
- Support the Center Manager in creating a positive, productive dental center.
- Provide orientation and support to newly hired or transferred staff dentists.
- Provide clinic support to the Center Manager.
- Participate in the dental provider meeting.
- Help the dental center manager create a positive, productive clinic.
- Oversee and/or assign student learners to providers and support training of student DAs or D4 students.
- Direct staff supervision for staff dentists (clinical care) and dental assistants (clinical care).

- Good‑standing Staff Dentist at Life Long.
- Valid California Dental License and DEA number.
- CAQH PAVE/ORP.
- High‑level clinical skill set.
- Understanding of the employee handbook and clinical sequencing.
- At least five years of experience as a dentist.
- Minimum two years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Proficiency in Dentrix, MIPacs, Epic, and Microsoft Word.
