Entry-Level Materials Engineers
Chevron is accepting online applications for entry-level Materials Engineers in the following locations:
- Houston, Texas
- Richmond, California
- El Segundo, California
- Salt Lake City, Utah
- Pasedena, Texas
- Pascagoula, Mississippi
Materials Engineers may work at any of Chevron’s global operations or with the Technology, Projects, and Execution team. Mobility is encouraged, with opportunities for assignments at various domestic and international locations. The Horizons training program offers technical training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience through multiple assignments in the first five years, focusing on areas like metallurgy, welding, corrosion control, and non-metallic materials.
Responsibilities include supporting refinery operations, oil fields, pipelines, designing new facilities, material selection, corrosion resolution, failure analysis, research, and nondestructive examination support.
- Students in their final year of Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Metallurgical, Materials, or Corrosion Engineering, or those with such degrees and up to two years of related work experience.
- Strong academic record, communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits (U.S. only):- Salary range: $102,000 - $133,000, based on degree level and discipline.
