A public health laboratory is seeking a Microbiologist II responsible for diagnosing infectious diseases and conducting antimicrobial resistance testing. Key duties include specimen handling, quality control, and collaboration with partners. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in microbiology or molecular biology and possess a valid California Public Health Microbiologist certificate.

Experience with high complexity testing in a lab setting is preferred. This full-time role may require weekend and holiday shifts during public health emergencies.
