The Critical Care Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in a variety of critical care settings. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, vital sign monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, intravenous insertion and infusion, central line care, catheters, and maintenance of a running record of the patient’s status.
The Critical Care RN must be prepared at all times to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other lifesaving measures for the patients in their care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
- One year of critical care experience is preferred
- Minimum of one year acute or critical care experience preferred
- Current BLS card; current ACLS/PALS card (per facility requirement)
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Location: Richmond, CA
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: January 26, 2026
Weekly Pay: $3,206/week
- $1,575 taxable
- $1,631 meals & housing stipends
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment at a respected facility in Richmond, California . This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic critical care environment while enjoying everything the Bay Area has to offer.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to critically ill adult patients
- Monitor and assess patient conditions in fast-paced ICU setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
- Administer medications, manage drips, and operate critical care equipment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Active CA RN License (must be active at submission)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Strong critical care and assessment skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment
