  • Schedule: Day shift Monday–Friday; overtime as required. Shift work may be necessary.

Is this you?
  • Hands‑on problem solver who can trace a bad signal from transmitter to DCS and bring the loop back online.
  • Comfortable installing conduit, pulling wire, and bringing a new motor starter to life—safely and by the book.
  • Equally fluent in schematics, SOPs, and vendor manuals—and you keep your work neat and well documented.
What you’ll tackle
  • Install, repair, and maintain plant electrical and instrumentation equipment in line with site/manufacturer specifications.
  • Inspect and replace instruments, valves, disconnects, starters, motors, relays, and related devices to ensure safety and continuity of operations.
  • Calibrate and place back into service:
    • Flow, level, and temperature transmitters
    • On‑line process analyzers
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and DCS systems using meters, diagnostic tools, drawings, and schematics.
  • Remove/replace filters; lubricate motors, valves, and bearings for longevity and efficiency.
  • Install and repair receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, conduits, fiber/coax, and lighting fixtures.
  • Measure, cut, bend, solder, drill, and tap components; fabricate brackets/hangers to secure installations.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble automatic valves, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct solid‑state and DCS issues using proper test equipment and methods.
  • Execute LOTO (lock, tag, try, and test) and maintain a clean, organized worksite; remove obsolete wiring without impacting live operations.
  • Coordinate work with other crafts; communicate via radio, phone, and email for efficient execution.
  • Contribute to and refine job plans, procedures, and SOPs; reinforce area safety standards and coach trainees.
Minimum qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years of instrumentation and electrical experience in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency reading/understanding safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, manufacturer literature, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills and working knowledge of computers.
Physical & environmental factors
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Occasional vertical ladder/stair climbing and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs; close vision may be required.
  • Extended periods in office environments at times; must be fit for duty.
  • Work in confined spaces, at heights, outdoors, in high‑noise areas, and in spaces with dust and chemical odors.
Medical requirement

Annual medical assessments are required (including, but not limited to, Pulmonary Function Testing and the ability to wear a respirator) as a condition of employment—reflecting Chemtrade’s commitment to the health and safety of employees and the public.
