Primary FunctionThe Business Development Analyst will research, collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to generate sales leads, providing actionable insights that drive business decisions and improve overall sales performance. This role supports sales strategy development with advanced analytics, artificial intelligence tools, and sales performance insights to drive revenue growth and optimize market strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about using data and AI‑driven models to uncover patterns, forecast trends, and empower sales teams with actionable intelligence.
EssentialFunctions
- Identify and develop sales leads in focused market and geographic areas
- Provide insights and recommendations to the sales and marketing teams to support strategic decision‑making
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sales campaigns
- Support ad hoc data requests and analysis to address specific business questions or challenges
- Leverage AI and other tools to enhance lead development, segmentation
- Partner with the sales, marketing, and product teams to identify opportunities for automation in the sales process
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data across CRM and business intelligence systems (Salesforce, Epicor, etc.)
- Expand social media presence to build the Ahaus brand, enhance networking, and generate sales leads
- Present analytical findings and AI‑driven recommendations to senior leadership to guide strategic decision‑making
- Exhibit regular and predictable attendance
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in sales or business development analysis, business analytics, or a related role
- Experience working with large datasets and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Hands‑on experience applying AI or machine learning models for sales lead generation, customer segmentation, or performance prediction
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and data modeling skills
- Ability to work independently to achieve results aligned with company strategy and established goals
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment
- Excellence in communication and presentation skills, collaboration, cross‑functional teamwork, time management, and prioritization
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations
- Strong knowledge of data visualization and BI tools (Power BI)
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Typical business office environment
- Typical non‑production, light manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, debris, and chemicals
- May be required to travel to customer facilities
- May be required to climb stairs and ladders
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
