Schedule:
Day Shift PRN. Coverage could be 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Radiography Technologist supports the Reid Health Mission, Vision, Values, and Key Service Behaviors. The Radiography Technologist performs radiographic diagnostic imaging examinations at the RHPA X‑Ray locations on patients per physician/provider orders with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Overview of Responsibilities- Provide regular and dependable attendance.
- Competently operates radiographic equipment.
- Accurately evaluates requests for radiographic procedures.
- Obtains patient history and symptoms.
- Performs radiographic procedures per provider orders.
- Provides care appropriate to the age‑specific needs of the patients served.
- Provides explanation and instruction to patients regarding radiographic procedures.
- Demonstrates effective communication with patients and families.
- Accurately performs appropriate documentation.
- Follows radiation safety policies and guidelines.
- Takes responsibility for personal radiation safety and exposure monitoring.
- Appropriately uses radiation protection devices.
- Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
- Assists in the clinical instruction of radiography students.
- Competently uses Epic and PACS systems.

Education & Experience- Education Required:
Graduate of an approved, 24‑month program in Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). - Education Preferred:
Any additional radiology education. - Experience
Required:
A minimum of 2 years in an accredited educational program. - Experience Preferred:
Additional experience as a licensed Radiography Technologist after completing an educational program. - Maintenance of Continuing
Education:
Credits required.
- Radiologic Technologist license by the Indiana Department of Health is required for all positions before starting work.
- Certification and Registry in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BLS certification.
