Process Engineering Technician I – Madison‑Kipp Corporation

Position SummaryThe Process Engineering Technician I supports production processes and is an entry point for future Process Engineer roles.
Essential Functions- Conduct daily thermal imaging of production tools.
- Map and clean spray heads and rebuild components on/off machines.
- Perform leaker identification of suspect product.
- Inspect and gauge castings according to TS16949 work instructions, ensuring dimensional and visual quality.
- Analyze cycle times for production products.
- Verify lube ratio per process specifications.
- Train production personnel in process procedures and quality production.
- Report discrepancies or conditions requiring corrective, predictive, or planned maintenance.
- Follow all safety rules and policies, including OSHA guidelines and Madison‑Kipp protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work locations include shop floor and other facility areas, operating various equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. Exposure to noise, heat, cold, molten metal, working aloft, bending, and awkward positions is common.
Physical DemandsPhysical exertion is required with occasional lifting up to 40 lb. Regular standing, walking, bending, twisting, and moving around the facility.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of algebra.
- Must be able to pass the MKC forklift and crane certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Excel.
- Fundamental understanding of metrology and gauges (preferred but not required).
