Job Duties & Responsibilities- Assist in daily scheduled productions, ensuring that processing work is performed efficiently and proactively.
- Focus on employee and food safety practices throughout all production activities.
- Label products according to standards (Product Number, Product Name, Lot, Date, and other requirements).
- Monitor equipment and report any problems to supervisor.
- Assist in inventory counts and reconciliations using scan guns and other technologies.
- Account for inventory as it is received and brought to location.
- Account for inventory when items are moved out of location for production activities.
- Account for product being shipped to customer locations.
- Maintain the appearance of the facilities, both inside and outside.
- Perform general sanitation functions: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming inside and outside the facility.
- Lead, support and adhere to the Company’s Safety Program.
- Make decisions that focus on employee and facility safety.
- Proactively identify and report potential safety hazards to the warehouse manager.
- Adhere to all Quality Assurance standards.
- Make decisions that support food quality safety.
- Ensure products are stored in conditions necessary to maintain quality.
- Ensure that products meet all agreed quality standards and quickly report any deviations to supervisor to minimize rejections.
- Adhere to the Company’s policies on Safety, Hygiene, and good housekeeping.
- Treat the health and safety of oneself and others with reasonable care.
- Report any hazards to the immediate manager.
- Co-operate with duty or requirement obligations.
- Be part of the team and support others.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective cooperative working relationships.
- Physical requirements:
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Work in dust.
- Work in extreme temperatures.
- Hold a Forklift Certificate.
Work involves machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including grain dust and hazardous materials, and exposure to adverse weather conditions, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The employee may be exposed to noise requiring protection, may need to stand for long periods, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. Vision ability for close‑up work is required. Extended seasonal hours and maintaining alertness to meet deadlines may be necessary.
