At Mac Allister Machinery, we provide top-quality service and repair for equipment rentals. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. You will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and make a significant impact on our customers' success.

This position will perform advanced mechanical repairs and or maintenance of all rental equipment in the shop.

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures
• Rebuild, repair, and maintain equipment and components
• Thoroughly understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment
• Complete all documents associated with repairs in a accurate and timely manner
• Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
• Adhere to all safety rules and maintain quality housekeeping in work area

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years or more of work related experience in a technician related position

• Experience working on large trucks, semi’s preferred
• Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school
• Class B CDL
• Must have required shop hand tools
• 7 years or more of work related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
