SUMMARY

The position of Sanitation Team Lead at Richmond Baking is expected to effectively and efficiently perform the expectations and guidelines outlined. Perform duties following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and conduct business in a professional manner. Assist Sanitation Family members on all duties required by their job function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in Training/Coaching of New Sanitation Family members.
  • Helps monitor and maintain the implementation of the Master Sanitation Schedule, Daily Sanitizer Log and any other necessary documentation.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintains compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Follow QC technicians as they perform Pre-Operational inspections for production startup, if needed direct necessary family members to correct any issues noted.
  • Cover Sanitation Family members responsibilities when there are gaps in coverage.
  • Understand and follow Good Documentation Practices.
  • Assists with Computer work involving printing of Master Sanitation Schedule and inputting information from completed Master Sanitation Schedule as needed.
  • Assists with weekly Titration of Sanitation chemicals
  • Keep work areas clean, orderly, and extra items picked up and properly stored (i.e. carts, mop buckets, squeegees, etc)
  • Adhere to proper break/lunch relief procedures.
  • Understand and comply with all policies set forth by management.
  • Follow all GMPs as well as HACCP procedures; understand, observe and comply with the handling and proper usage of color coded containers.
  • Fill in for any position that you are qualified to perform as instructed by Supervision and practice continuous training for all positions within your department.
  • Follow and promote all safety policies and procedures and notify Supervision of any unsafe act immediately.
  • Notify Supervision/Maintenance of any needed repairs or required adjustments as soon as they are noted.
  • Perform any and all duties required to meet SQF, Company, and/or Governmental requirements/standards as set forth by Richmond Baking Company.
  • Perform routine inspections of Richmond Baking Comapny pest control devices to monitor pest activity, report findings to Pest Control Operator and assist in corrective action measures.
  • Be able to pass Pest Control Certification exam to handle Pest Control chemicals and application.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency is preferred. Two to six years related experience and/or training, preferably in manufacturing or distribution companies;
Food industry background a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
