Overview

Customer Service Associate I at Family Dollar – Part-time, Richmond, IN.

Position involves delivering a great shopping experience for every customer while performing duties related to sales, stocking, and store maintenance.

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment in accordance with productivity standards
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash removal, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
