Job Summary /Basic Functions Hiring TimelineInterviews for all graduate positions available with Housing & Residence Life will take place during the week of February 2-6, 2026. All eligible candidates will be contacted via email.
Position SummaryThe Graduate Assistant for Curriculum and Success (GACS) will work out of the Housing and Residence Life office in the Whitlock Building to support early intervention and retention initiatives within the residential community. This role is essential in implementing and assessing the residential curriculum to ensure alignment with student development goals. The GACS will also co-advise the Colonels Mentoring Colonels (CMC) peer mentor program as the Housing and Residence Life Liaison.
Additionally, they will collaborate with in-hall staff to provide guidance on curriculum implementation, facilitate training sessions, assess learning outcomes, and make data-driven recommendations for improvements. - Unconditional acceptance into a graduate degree program at Eastern Kentucky University
- Enroll in at least nine (9) credit hours per semester in a graduate degree program
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA in coursework leading toward the completion of graduate degree
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess excellent computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Skills in multi-tasking and the availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Possess excellent administrative skills
- Experience in student leadership roles, residence life, or student affairs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience living in a residence hall or working with student organizations.
- Work within an assigned focus area within Housing and Residence Life to provide support and development.
- (Essential) - Perform and support other areas of Housing and Residence Life as assigned.
- (Essential) - Attend various trainings and meetings as needed.
