Chief Executive Officer – Telford YMCA
The Telford Community Center YMCA is seeking an experienced and mission-driven leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established, community-focused YMCA that has been serving Richmond and Madison County since 1986.
With an annual budget of $1.38 million, a dedicated staff team, and a deep commitment to the Y’s mission, the Telford Community Center YMCA is poised for continued growth and impact under new leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic plan in collaboration with volunteers, community leaders, and key staff; create measurable goals and deliverables.
- Build and lead staff, ensuring talent development, diversity, inclusion, and a learning organization.
- Position the Y as a vital partner for community change—serve as ambassador, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, uphold high standards and values.
- Fiscal management: forecast trends, lead to balance or surplus, grow earned revenue and contributions, control costs, and develop stewardship strategies.
- Steward fundraising efforts: develop an annual fundraising plan, capitalize on capital fundraising, and increase effectiveness of annual giving and endowment.
- Accredited 4‑year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management of $XM or more annually.
- Minimum seven years in senior‑management with a YMCA or comparable organization, supervising multiple levels.
- Strong community relationship development skills.
- Ability to innovate and evaluate programs for economic effectiveness and community impact.
- Strategic planning and fundraising experience, including annual campaigns and grant securing.
- YMCA Organizational Leader Certification or ability to obtain within 3 years.
Salary Range: $70,000 annually.
- YMCA Retirement: 5% paid by YMCA, 3% employee contribution (eligibility required).
- YMCA 403(b) Savings Plan: 100% employee contribution.
- Health Plan: 80% paid by YMCA, 20% by employee.
- Paid Time Off: as per personnel policy.
- Additional benefits as per personnel policy.
The CEO is expected to reside within the YMCA’s service area to maintain close community engagement.
