American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• 22-bed telemetry/med-surg unit caring for complex patients including CHF, stroke, ESRD, and post-op cases
• Patients are admitted from ICU, ED, and PACU
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of start
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Collaborate with inter-professional care team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Facilitate patient and family education and support discharge planning with Case Management
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower pay rate
