Under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Technician will assist in supervised patient treatments and help maintain the PT department in a clean and orderly manner.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education. Graduation from a technical program is preferred.
Minimum Work ExperiencePrevious experience in a Physical Therapy clinic is preferred.
Required Licenses/CertificationsBasic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or an equivalent accredited program is required.
Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesKnowledge of regulations, quality assurance, procedures, and patient care. Must successfully complete department-specific and hospital-required training. Ability to treat patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
