Under the general direction of the Food and Nutrition Services Director and the direct supervision of a Food Service Supervisor, the Food Service Associate (FSA) is responsible for following established systems and processes to ensure the successful operation of the Patient Dining Programs. Responsibilities include assembling, delivering, and retrieving patient meals; sanitizing dishes, utensils, and designated areas; handling stocking and department requisitions.
The FSA may use standardized recipes to prepare food items for patient tray lines, cafeteria, and special functions. Adheres to all regulatory and agency standards.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED will be considered.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
One-year hospital food service experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Ability to read and write English; perform basic mathematical calculations; and possess excellent communication skills.
