Position Overview
The Radiology Director is responsible for the supervision of all personnel in the Radiology Department to ensure staff competency in designated areas of responsibilities. Functions as a resource person for Lead Technologists and staff members, providing necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the radiology staff. Organizes, teaches, and participates in departmental activities. Manages capital and operational budgeting, equipment oversight, financial management, and performance improvement activities.

- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology. Bachelor’s in Radiologic Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ radiologic supervisory experience preferred. - Required
Licenses/Certifications:
Current registration with ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB. Certified by the Texas Medical Board as a Medical Radiologic Technologist. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required. Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation necessary as driving between campuses is required. - Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Knowledge of Bureau of Radiation Controls regulations, staffing, policies, and procedures and all modalities. Ability to supervise and manage day‑to‑day operations of the department. Exhibit leadership, planning, critical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
