We’re looking for a dedicated OR Circulator Nurse to join our team on a per-diem (PRN) basis. The OR Circulator plays a key role in supporting safe, efficient surgical procedures by coordinating all aspects of patient care before, during, and after surgery. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative surgical team.
Responsibilities- Circulate for a variety of surgical cases while ensuring patient safety and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical technologists to anticipate patient and procedural needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of intraoperative care.
- Verify surgical supplies and equipment are prepared and functional prior to each procedure.
- Support infection control, safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and act as a patient advocate throughout the surgical experience.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Minimum 1 year of OR Circulator experience preferred; ASC experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic principles, and perioperative nursing standards.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
- Skilled in intraoperative patient monitoring and documentation.
- Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Proficient in using surgical equipment and maintaining aseptic standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all clinical roles.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Circulator RN (ASC experience preferred).
- Prior experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate perioperative care.
