Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care and related assistance to patients in the ICU. The staff nurse directs non-licensed personnel in delivering direct patient care. The staff nurse supports medical care under the supervision of the Medical Staff, aligned with the hospital's objectives.
QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous clinical nursing experience required. CV/Post-Op open heart experience is preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse, Board Eligible. American Heart Association BLS certification required. ACLS certification must be completed within six months of hire.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic clinical, computer, and typing skills.
