ResponsibilitiesThe Per Diem RN II is responsible for providing direct nursing care by applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills, and for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards.
Qualifications Education- Required:
Graduate from an approved RN nursing program - Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
- Required:
3 years of RN experience - Preferred: N/A
- Required:
Valid and current Texas RN license - Preferred: N/A
- Required:
Able to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy. - Required:
CRT experience - Preferred:
Specialty nursing certification appropriate to specialty area assigned. - Preferred:
Windows-based computer skills.
- Required:
Current BLS through American Heart Association - Required:
5 shifts per month - Required:
3 shifts per year the day before or after a clinic holiday, with minimum of 1 shift related to a winter holiday. - Required:
Able to travel within a selected region - Preferred: ACLS
