Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful.

A typical day includes inspiring clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money, while building client relationships that grow stronger each year.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support.
• All certification levels can provide tax notice services;
  Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation.
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment (required).
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax; experience completing individual returns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with virtual tools (video, phone, chat); effective communication in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Must meet IRS and applicable state requirements; high school diploma or equivalent or higher.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.
