Accounting Clerk

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This is a fully onsite opportunity ideal for someone with a strong understanding of general accounting principles and experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.

• Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up.

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities.

• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

• Support general ledger accounting and data entry functions.

• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting inquiries.

• Assist with reporting, audits, and special projects as assigned.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and established accounting procedures.

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

• Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable role preferred.

• Working knowledge of general accounting principles.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $28.00 per hour
