Senior Tax Associate

Fully Remote | Permanent | Starting at $85,000 Annually

Magnify is looking for a Senior Tax Associate with 5+ years of experience who is ready to take ownership of complex tax preparation and compliance work. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working across different entity types, solving tax-related challenges, and delivering accurate, high-quality work for clients.

You’ll prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and LLCs while managing competing deadlines and maintaining accuracy across multiple engagements. Candidates currently residing on the East Coast are preferred.

You might be a great fit if you have:

5+ years of professional tax preparation experience.
Experience preparing individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and LLC tax returns.
A strong understanding of tax compliance, supporting documentation, and workpaper preparation.
The ability to research tax questions, identify potential issues, and maintain accuracy across multiple engagements.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

What you’ll actually DO:

Prepare individual and business tax returns, including partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and LLC returns.

Review tax documentation and work papers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax requirements.

Research tax questions, evaluate potential issues, and help identify appropriate solutions.

Manage multiple tax engagements while prioritizing deadlines and maintaining quality.

Identify missing information or discrepancies and work to resolve them efficiently.

Communicate with clients and team members to obtain necessary documentation and address tax-related questions.

Maintain organized work papers and supporting documentation for assigned engagements.

Stay current on relevant tax regulations and continue developing technical tax expertise.
