The Legal Assistant is responsible for supporting the Legal and Operational teams during daily operations. This includes scanning, printing and compiling all documents with high accuracy. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for sorting documents and organizing them for attorney review. This role assists with mail and ad hoc requests for the legal and production specialist teams. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and our in-house legal software system (employee will receive extensive training on the latter).
Responsibilities- Noting accounts
- Preparing legal documents
- Managing e‑mail inboxes
- Assisting with calendar management
- Miscellaneous other clerical duties
- 1-3 years in a high volume administrative or legal specialist position
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite programs, particularly Excel and Outlook
- The ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to process changes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, organized, volume practice and takes initiative is a plus
- The ability to work with people across all levels and areas of expertise
- Experience in a creditor’s law firm and knowledge of legal pleadings is a plus
- A positive attitude and professional team player spirit

1-2 years customer service or clerical experience, good communication skills, data entry. Preferred: 2+ years work experience in a financial services related field, system querying skills, proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel).
