Front Desk Receptionist (Part Time)
Hallmark Youthcare is a leading Residential Treatment Center in the Greater Richmond area, treating adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues triggered by trauma. The environment is warm and friendly, staffed by well‑trained, highly motivated professionals dedicated to delivering quality care.
Under the general supervision of the HR Director, the Part‑Time Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for all visitors. Responsibilities include issuing visitor badges, directing visitors, and advising them on facility procedures. The role also involves maintaining the lobby, ensuring daily newspapers and magazines are available, and keeping the coffee station stocked. All incoming calls are answered promptly, with pages to clinicians and staff as requested.
The receptionist also maintains notices for staff and residents via the intercom system.

ScheduleSame schedule – every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday): 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Pay$13.00 per hour.
Duties- Page staff and clinicians as requested or deemed appropriate.
- Use intercom system to send overhead pages for emergency or code notices.
- Connect all resident calls to the appropriate resident phone after verifying the caller on an approved list.
- Ensure all visitors sign in on the confidentiality log, distribute visitor badges, and confirm that any visitor entering a unit is on the approved list.
- Maintain current logbooks for all functions requiring tracking (e.g., keys, vehicles, sign‑out, cabs, Executive Dining Room).
- Maintain the meal ticket box for the sale of meal tickets.
- Foster mature, professional relationships with fellow employees in a courteous, friendly manner, as measured by management observation and peer input.
- Conduct all work activities with respect for the rights and wishes of residents, visitors, families, and staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of all facility and resident information at all times, as observed by peers and management.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to deal with the public in a professional, friendly, calm manner and manage difficult customer situations.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications/software.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED certification required, or one‑year college/technical school certificate.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, clerical, or similar role.
