Job DutiesAssigned operational responsibilities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced office with frequent deadlines. This position ensures the court’s instructions are executed and legal documents are prepared with accuracy and in accordance with state and local policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines.
- Enter data into the automated Case Management System.
- Image case files and schedule matters for court.
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents; assess fines and costs.
- Provide customer service at the front counter, answer telephones, and file court documents.
- Prepare daily docket and attend court sessions.
- Assist the judge with docket, operate recording system, and prepare paperwork for signatures.
- Enter judge’s findings and sentencing, record judgments, postponements, fines, and costs in the case management system.
- Create, review, and file paperwork such as unlawful detainers, warrants, subpoenas, judgment sheets, probation, restitution, fingerprint, community service, deferred payment, commitments, and release forms.
- Ensure proceedings are recorded clearly, concisely, and legibly.
- Maintain court files, update all records, and generate necessary paperwork.
Excellent attendance is essential. The candidate must multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume office with firm deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent (college preferred).
- Prior knowledge of a court judicial system or office experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
- Time‑management skills and accurate, fast data entry/computer skills.
