Looking to gain hands‑on finance experience with a Fortune 100 food company? At Performance Food Group, interns don't sit on the sidelines. You'll work on a meaningful project tied to real business needs, partner with leaders across the organization, and gain exposure to one of the largest food distribution companies in North America. As a Finance Intern, you will work with real data, contribute to business analysis, and help the team turn information into action.

Assist FP&A Finance team with dashboard development to enhance effectiveness of current & future analyses. Perform ad‑hoc data analysis that helps the field make data‑driven decisions.

Work with Finance & Data Analytics Manager (Sameer Sarkar) and team to:

• Review FP&A Finance Team dashboards to implement uniform visualization standards
• Learn the PFG data environment in Snowflake in order to overhaul and enhance existing Power BI dashboards
• Support the team with ad‑hoc analysis in Excel, Power BI, and R/Python
• Explore how AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) can improve team workflows and enhance analytic capabilities of PFG

• Hands‑on experience with:
  • Power BI
  • R/Python
  • SQL
• Data cleaning, wrangling & visualization expertise
• Apply analytics and AI in a business context
• Experience presenting technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience working in a corporate environment.

• Must be in close proximity to Richmond, VA
• Must be a rising senior pursuing a degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science or related field
• Demonstrated experience with an analytical coding language (R or Python preferred)
• Relevant coursework in Data Science, Statistics/Machine Learning, or Econometrics
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• SQL or Power BI exposure a plus
• Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S.

• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Rising Senior (May 2028)
• Portfolio or examples of analytical projects (e.g. Github, class projects)
