Job Description

Kids Zone Attendant

Job Objective: To provide a safe and pleasant environment for members' children.

Reports to: Kids Zone Supervisor

Game Plan

• Report to work 10 minutes before your shift begins to be briefed by the prior shift or to open the Kids Zone on time.
• Follow check-in procedures for children. Ensure that each child that enters the nursery has a token.
• Ensure all numbers and bracelets are accounted for.
• Review the activity calendar and prepare for daily activities.
• Control children without direct supervision. Children are to be involved in supervised activities. Keep the noise level in the room to a minimum.
• Handle any parent concerns immediately or refer to a manager.
• Handle any emergency situations that may occur.
• Children will be transported to and from activities by AFFC staff only.
• When children are outside of the Kids Zone, staff must use walkie-talkies to communicate. This is not optional.
• The Kids Zone will be cleaned at the end of each shift, including cleaning the bathroom, mopping floors, wiping cribs, tables, and walkers, vacuuming carpets, emptying trash, and disinfecting toys.
• Rewind all VCR tapes at the end of each shift.
• Put away video games at the end of each shift.
• The Kids Zone will be clean and presentable at all times. Vacuum the carpet immediately after snack time.
• Complete all forms at the end of each shift, including daily activity sheets and bracelet forms.
• Read and initial the communication log daily.
• Wear proper uniform.
