Summary / Objective

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior MEP Superintendent to lead and manage all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) operations on large-scale commercial construction projects. The Senior MEP Superintendent plays a critical role in delivering complex projects by overseeing field execution, coordinating trades, enforcing safety, and ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards.

This leadership position is ideal for candidates with a proven track record of success in managing MEP scopes as Superintendent on high-value, fast-paced construction projects such as hospitals, data centers, high-rise buildings, or advanced manufacturing facilities.

Essential Functions
  • Senior Superintendents supervise field Superintendents for MEP operations on our commercial construction projects.
  • Supervises larger projects as the General Superintendent or several small jobs at one time.
  • Acts as liaison with engineering, estimating, and project teams, to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and scheduling is being met.
  • Coordinates with other departments (e.g., Quality Control and Engineering) to ensure all required materials and equipment, inspections, and support craft activities.
  • Provides guidance and direction to crews in budgeting and scheduling. Ensures that production numbers are being reached along with forecasting what it will take to complete the phase codes.
  • Ensures job quality and customer satisfaction is maintained at every project stage.
  • Builds strong relationships with clients, customers, and vendors to cultivate a positive work environment.
  • In addition to supervisory responsibility, responsible for directly performing a wide range of skilled construction tasks.
  • Holding crews responsible and accountable for keeping AXIOM up to date with daily production reports, look‑ahead completions, and more.
  • Resolves problems in a variety of construction issues, including productivity monitoring, craft compliance with project safety program requirements; documenting and implementing corrective action.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensures a safe work environment.
  • Ensures foremen conduct work with crews safely.
  • Coordinates safety on site.
  • Ensures foremen have material ordered & staged for crews.
  • Reviews Foreman’s Daily logs along with notes and helps eliminate constraints.
  • Ensures trades are tracking at estimate or better than estimate using Axiom as their guide.
Job Cost
  • Understand the project job cost.
  • Contract obligations, inclusions and exclusions.
  • Review of the job cost with the PM, PC, and foreman.
  • Pre‑POC forecast due the week before monthly POC meeting.
  • Assist in projection of labor.
  • Review job cost with trade specific foremen.
  • Understand and review projection metric goals with PM and foremen.
Day to Day Activities
  • Drawing review.
  • VDC interaction and coordination during drafting.
  • VDC reviews & coordination team meetings.
  • Weekly Fabrication meeting with Daniel and updates for pre‑fabrication.
  • Schedule reviews and confirm areas available for installation.
  • Manpower management and projections.
  • Equipment release review with PM along with confirming equipment counts, equipment handing.
  • Ensure proper resources (tools, rental equipment, materials) are on the project when needed.
  • Engage foreman teams with planning for efficiency.
  • Create a positive work environment.

Required Experience
  • 6+ years previous experience as a General Foreman, General Superintendent and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience.
  • Ability to successfully supervise large crew (20+).
  • Prior experience supervising large teams.
  • Previous knowledge of man hour reports, job cost reports, workforce planning and estimating.
