Customer Service Representative

Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to assist customers with inquiries and ensure their satisfaction. You will play a key role in supporting housing programs and maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities:

- Provide courteous and empathetic assistance to customers, striving to resolve inquiries during the first interaction.

- Develop a thorough understanding of Low Income Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Program policies to address customer concerns effectively.

- Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

- Maintain customer service ratings in alignment with established benchmarks and guidelines.

- Participate in mandatory training sessions to stay updated on organizational policies and procedures.

- Utilize approved scripts and protocols to determine appropriate resolutions or escalate issues to management when necessary.

- Accurately input call details and customer interactions into the organization's database. Requirements - Previous experience in a call center or customer service role.

- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey empathy and professionalism.

- Proficiency in handling both inbound and outbound calls.

- Ability to manage data entry tasks efficiently and with attention to detail.

- Familiarity with housing programs or government services is a plus.

- Capable of multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
