Riverside Health is currently seeking an experienced leader to join our well-respected psychiatric care team at Riverside Mental Health & Recovery Center (RMHRC) in Hampton, Virginia. RMHRC is the only psychiatric center in the Peninsula Region that offers a comprehensive range of behavioral health treatment plans where expert care meets collaboration and innovation. It is a unique facility with a groundbreaking care model that has garnered recognition across the Commonwealth of Virginia, including from the Governor’s office, for its leadership in mental health crisis.

- Strong physician leadership and collaborative, multidisciplinary teams
- Single hospital coverage – no travel required
- 90 bed IP facility serving adolescents and adults
- New 20 Psych ED department
- Provides services for psychiatric and medical care to adolescents and adults in crisis requiring intervention
- Collaborate with a compassionate, multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and transition them to appropriate levels of care
- Performs comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Supportive in-patient APP coverage 7 days a week
- Completion of ACGME Psychiatry or Family Medicine residency
- Board Certification/Board Eligible
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading teams, collaborative interpersonal style, and solid oral and written communication skills
- 7 to 10 years clinical experience and project management experience to include quality & process improvement and program development
- Collaborative approach with team members and effective in building strong working relationships, a leader who elevates team members
- Team oriented, respectful and focused in collective success over personal recognition
- Self-motivated, proactive and committed to continuous improvement and excellence
- Employment model with a strong, stable medical group
- Provide quality care, remain clinical with 50% of your role working with multi-disciplinary teams
- Lead medical staff and quality staff, 50% of the time managing multiple projects to optimize services
